Monday afternoon Nana and Grandad drove down (on Nana's birthday) to meet their first grandson.

Monday evening Doey, Dickie, and Molly came to meet our little man.

Tuesday night the three of us were finally on our way home!

November part 1

Look at those beautiful eyes! My little one is growing up fast.

Evie, trying on Ali's Halloween costume, But wait -- you forgot the hat!!
That's better!

She discovered a new favourite toy - building towers! Whenever she wants to do it she starts pointing and saying 'Towwwe, Towwwe..." so sweet!

She's pretty proud!

One morning she was pretty tired... mommy left the room to start lunch and returned to a sleeping girl!!

Ali's loves to gallop around the house!

My stylish girls showing off their new scarves!

Our amazing, faithful, Maggie!

Ali, pretending to walk Maggie, using her scarf...

What a sweet child...
She sure is a beautiful girl :)
Ali, 'talking' with Maggie...
Evie decided this week that she is too big for her chair.... she insisted on sitting up like the rest of the family to eat her food - look how little (yet huge) she looks!!

October part 3

Amy came down for the weekend, and we had a fantastic (although tiring!) weekend. The girls loved playing and doing crafts with her!

Out on our walk to the bakery
There is a big gross frog there, on the edge of the white line, that the girls are looking at

Amy brough Ali part of her halloween costume - wings to go with her hat and antena!!
She was one happy kid!

We met our long-lost friends at Chuck E Cheese in Kingston - the girls had such a blast with all the Hallett kids, and mommy sure enjoyed seeing them and Kim! What a great morning :)
I love this look on Ali's face! She was so happy to be with her friends!!

Evie enjoys playing in the jungle gym with Karaline!

All the big kids eating lunch

Ali thought it was pretty neat that she could control this seat all by herself

Evie loved riding this bus!

October part 2

When Daddy went out of town, Mommy visited some friends with the girls!! The girls had a blast!

She was so proud that she could climb up the steps... but she never made it past this one :)

At the Nepean Museum -- the girls took turns being the police officer, and locking everyone up in the jail!

So cute!

So cute, even if they wouldn't look at the camera! (Evie loves to sit with Ali, although Ali rarely puts up with it!)

Daddy and his smiley girl!! (One last one I had to post from before we left)

Halloween 2009

Although we were sick, Daddy's love for Halloween and Batman enabled us to get ready for halloween at the last second - including carving a pumpkin around 4pm on October 31st!

This was Ali's first pumpkin experience - she was pretty grossed out, but fascinated by the final result!

Our daddy is Batman!

Evie, the 102nd Dalmation

And Ali, the Ladybug! She only went to 2 houses, but was super proud of her candy! She also did a fantastic job of putting items in other peoples bags (until a scary costume came along!)

Fall Fun 2

This morning we went Apple Picking!!! We had a fantastic morning as a family :)

Getting all bundled up to head out!
Learning the right way to take the apple off the tree.

Helping Mommy with the first few

She was so proud when she could do it herself!

Evie helping Daddy

Ali wanted to help Daddy get the apples up at the top :)

I got it!!!

Yeay! Look at our apples!

Evie enjoyed carrying them from the trees to the bag.

The bag filled up much quicker than we expected!

What a beautiful day!

The girls :)

Pumpkins!

It's hard to tell, but they are watching the big black pigs eat their lunch

and the ducks too!

One very happy family!

Evie loved the bunnies the most!

One lady who worked there came and opened the cage, and brought us some cabbage... the bunnies were so happy!

She even took one out so the girls could pet it!

Fall Fun

Playing in the Leaves!!!!!

We quickly learned that if you throw leaves, Maggie will jump for them. She had so much fun!

My beautiful, happy girl!

Love it!

My timing was a little off with their kiss...

Bubbles!!

Evie is a little 'too cool' to get excited over leaves ;)

October part 1

Attempting to get a good shot of my two girls together... very hard to do... the first is realistic (Evie's favourite pose.... left thumb in mouth, right hand in hair) The second I love -- look how they are looking at each other and laughing!!

Evie likes Maggie the best when she's higher up than her!

Mommy's Birthday!

Evie was excited, you would have thought she knew what would happen next...
YUMMY! Cupcakes!!!

the remainder of September...

Just a few of our cuties from the last part of the month...
Evie desperately wanted to wear Ali's fairy costume... but refused to let me take her PJ's off first... so cute!
Ali all ready for her dance class!

Daddy making sure he has all the appropriate equipment for his first hockey game in over 5 years
And the girls need to ensure that the helmet is just as fun on them ;)

Look at me!!

Evie sure is a snuggler

Evie has discovered that stacking blocks is a lot of fun, and oh so easy!

On this morning, I went to get Ali dressed for church, and she saw the clothes in my hand and said "No Mommy! I need to wear the big blue dress, the one that was yours!!" How do you say no to that?

She loves to make it spin!

Wish I had the audio to go with this shot for you!

Ben and Em stopped by for a visit - I love that they, Ali, and Keough all managed to fit on the loveseat to read some books.
September flew by, I still can't believe it and we're already a third of the way through October!

September thus far...

Some pics from September so far... All 3 of our kids seem to have grown a lot in the last 3 weeks!! Life sure is full!
Evie watches her sister wash her hands after using the potty all day long, and I guess she decided she wanted to join in!

Poor thing can barely reach the water, but she sure was happy!

Ali playing with her caterpillar sprinkler... why was the best weather of the summer at the beginning of September?

They had lots of fun!

The girls, with their friends, at the Splash Pad.

So much fun!!

Back to the sprinkler...

Mommy and her little guy at 24 weeks.

Ali's creativity is hilarious -- here she is 'fixing' things (the hooks on the wall to begin with)... this morning she claimed she had 5 little dragon friends in a turkey baster, and when she let them out, they were eating her cantaloupe.... then she started telling them "NO, don't eat it all, that's mine!"

Evie has decided that she is no longer a baby. We can't help her eat anything anymore. She has to do it all all by herself... not a good equation when yogurt is in the mix!

Dickie and Doey after Rob Bell... aren't they an adorable couple?!?
Apparently this was the only picture that was taken the entire night!

Kels, Mommy, Ali, and the dogs out for a walk...

Ali frequently stopped to draw pictures in the sand... poor Kato didn't get as much exercise as normal I expect...

Kato and Maggie... only when she's around real shepherds do I realize how much like a husky she is!

Me and my girl :)

Evie's Kraft Dinner moustache

Look how grown up she looks!

Ali loves to slide with her sister! She wants to help us with her sister more and more every day!

Mommy and her little guy at 26 weeks.

I just had to document the mess that my girls managed to make... these kids!!!

Ali turns 3!!

First thing in the morning, the girls are ready with their books to set off on a birthday adventure!

While we were driving, Grandma called to sing happy birthday to Ali -- she was happy!

At Family Space -- Ali starts her masterpiece

And Evie tries painting for the first time

All finished her painting!

Then working on her own zoo -- decorating animals

Ali loved driving the black truck - just like Uncle Mike - it was adorable, she kept getting out and putting things in the back!

Evie really enjoyed the cars too!

Daddy found this roller coaster - the girls loved it!

In the evening we joined some other families for a dinner and bonfire -- they found out it was Ali's birthday and included a cake for her!

Daddy and his girls gobbling with the turkeys

A yummy bunny cake!

Ali loved the marshmellows!!

On Sunday afternoon we had Ali's birthday party with our families:

Evie and Uncle Mike -- she sure liked him this time!!

Evie enjoying some of Ali's presents :)

Ali loved her spiderman shirt, and even started shooting webs around the room!!

Ali put on all her bike gear, and the ballet slippers, and started hopping around the house!

Happy Birthday to you!!

Ali's Aquarium cake!

Daddy helping Evie enjoy some birthday cake!

I LOVE this picture!

The girls and their uncles :)

We think Ali had a fantastic 3rd birthday!

August, in between...

Ali, roasting her first marshmellows at the Gale`s house

What a cute kid!

When Mommy walked out of the ultrasound (where we all found out together that it`s a boy!) she found this: a very proud looking Daddy...

... and two happy girls holding hands!

My goof, ready for gymnastics!

Heather came to visit!

Showing her teacher her star fish!

A happy girls, playing with Aunt Diana and watching her sister swim!

We have so much fun when Aunt Diana's around!

Being silly in Old Navy

She likes to stand there and sing and dance... I don't know where she learned it, but I'm working on breaking this habit, as now Evie wants to stand on it, and ALWAYS falls!

Ali, getting her nails painted for the first time by Grandma!

Alisa and Larry came to visit!!

Alisa and Ali, getting ready to go down the huge slides!

How cute - before church Ali is reading to Evie on the stairs

Our friends celebrated 2 years since their arrival to Canada with a massive bonfire and party.
I think Ali was a little concerned about the big fire

But she wowed everyone as she voluntarily shared her cake with her little sister!

and Larry had a great time roasting marshmellows!! He was on a roll.

Out for lunch before we dropped them off at the bus station.... apparently it's impossible to get a picture where both girls are happy :)

Ali, heading in to her last swimming lesson like a big girl!

Bubble baths have returned to the Kline house - Ali was so excited!

Our big girl practicing her star fish float in the bath tub!

Our first trip to the Toronto Zoo

It's a long story, but we had to drive some friends to Toronto anyways, so we decided to take the opportunity to visit the zoo while we were there!!
Daddy and Evie making the trek from the parking lot. It still surprises me sometimes that she's big enough to just walk with us now!

Waiting to get into the zoo :)

Althought we have been to lots of zoos, it was fun to see some animals we hadn't seen before.... like Rhino's!

Ali was really really excited about the Elephants!

The hippos were cool too, but it was so warm they didn't come out of the water!

lionness

Ali thought the giraffes were pretty cool too!

The sleepy sisters cuddling as we walk between two sections of the zoo

The splash zone is a fantastic addition to the zoo -- the girls had so much fun, and we were all much cooler and much happier to keep going through the zoo!

Oh no! Our girl turned into a turtle!

Ali liked watching the fish.
Although we ran into traffic and got home very late, we all had a fantastic day!! We love the zoo!

Our 5th Anniversary!

We decided to get away, for the first time without the kids, for our 5th anniversary! We headed to Toronto for 1 night and lots of fun and sight seeing. We forgot what it was like to not have kids -- do whatever you want whenever you want not having to worry about who needs to be changed, who needs a nap, who needs to eat, who will be bored, etc.! We had a great time, but we sure missed out beautiful girls :)

Our hotel (we didn't take this ourselves). It was an amazing hotel -- much fancier than the price suggested.
After arriving and checking in, we headed to the CN tower for a fancy lunch. Adam had never been to the CN tower before, so it was a really neat experience!

I don't think either of us have ever had such fancy meals!

Afterwards we headed back to the hotel to change and then saw a movie, Paper Hearts. We headed back so I could take a quick nap before we headed to Second City for a show. It was very funny!

Walking back to the hotel after Second City, there was a light show on the CN tower.

In the morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast at the hotel, then headed to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Adam in his childhood hero, Roy's pads...

We loved this shirt, but it wasn't actually a 'maternity' shirt... weird.

After that we headed down for a harbour cruise.

We rushed back to get our car, visit our favourite store, Whole Foods Market, and then fight traffic to get out of the city to stop and see 500 Days of Summer on the way home. We had a great trip!!

While we were gone, Ali spent some time with Nana,
swimming

and being spoiled at Toys R Us!

Evie went and spent some time with her godparents, Danielle and Blair. She had a blast playing with Molly, especially her hair!

Wow - 5 years!!

A visit to the Last's cottage

We went up to Silver Lake to visit with Emily and Ben for an afternoon. It was a perfect day (despite off and on rain showers). Great friends and some fun times were exactly what our family needed that week - perfect!

Heading out on the boat - Ali was a little surprised by how windy it could get!

Evie preferred to watch safely from the boat than to join the girls swimming...

... but she did get in for a little bit!

After many many attempts at getting a good underwater picture of the two of us, this is the only good shot that turned out! I do love this picture though!

On the way back to the cottage Ali helped 'drive' the boat

Playing 'nap time'.... consists of Ali telling you to go to sleep, waiting about 5 seconds, then yelling WAKE UP!!!

The men heading out for their own fun...

...while the girls enjoy the playground.

Grandma and Louis come for a visit

August 1&2 Grandma and Louis came to visit for the end of their vacation.

Grandma brought Ali her first real bike, because we thought that if we waited any longer, she would be much too tall for it!
Ali sure loves that bike!
Evie is so funny - she sure tells you what she wants!!

Ali, filling the trucks with grass

They sure think these things are cool!

Ali, playing with her new construction trucks... she watched Louis use something from his key chain to undo the screws to get it out of the box, so she was attemptint to use keys to undo the screws... monkey see monkey do...

Grandma and her girls heading to church

Evie enjoys playing in boxes... her legs are just a little too short to get herself in and out!

Kels and Brod come to visit!!!

Kelsey and Brody came to visit for a weekend in July. We had a fantastic weekend, and the girls just loved spending time with them! We are all anxiously awaiting their return (hint hint).
In the morning Ali just wanted to hug Kelsey. It was SO precious! reading :)

Ali didn't want anyone to hold her hand except Brody!!

At AMAZING COFFEE, Ali met Bear, the dog. She absolutely loved him!

Chilling outside the Hidden Goldmine, our favourite bakery!! Fresh bread every week :)

For some reason I think this is a really cute shot of her
More reading

The Rafuse's showing the kids how to use the playground :)

I love that smile - you can really tell she's having fun!

Making homemade playdoh with Kels

Evie, trying to give us the hint that she wanted to swing again :)

Ali sure enjoyed having people to play on the playground with!

Look how high those slides are!

Some snuggle time :)

Saying Bye :(

Haha, he may hate me for it, but I love this picture. I don't remember if this was pleading for a hug, or chearing because he got them. Evie would walk up, really shyly, and lean into his chest so that he could hug her, but refused to hug back :) She is such a funny girl.

Daddy's ordination

On Saturday July 4th, Daddy was ordained at Silver Lake. It was a beautiful day :)
We had lots of family, friends, and congregants from the church come out to support Adam that day, which was wonderful.

Daddy speaking

all the licensed pastors in the Central Canada District

All those pastor's spouses

the family with Great grandma Scheel, Grandma, and Louis

Daddy's parents and grandparents

Our happy little family.

Evie, checking out baby Molly

Ali finally ran out of energy and needed a snack.

4 generations :)

The majority of July!!

We took the girls to see UP... Evie scarfed down the popcorn... it was hilarious.

The girls playing together. Ali flips over the little pool, and they both lie on it... cuddle, kick the ball, etc. Nice quiet moments.

Ali is taking swimming lessons this summer! She LOVES it - here is her and her teacher.

She LOVES jumping into the pool!

Evie plays on the playground for the first time! (at a park near Doey's house in Kingston) She had a blast!!

Uncle Mike brought Ali her first baseball glove... Evie thinks it's pretty cool too!

Haha, they popped in his face :)

I love this picture - they are both equally happy :)

Haha, she's a funny kid!

Uncle Matt teaches Ali how to pop wheelies.

(did I mention I love that we are close enough that my brothers stop by for quick visits on their way to places??)

Ali's happy face family!

After dealing with OHIP stuff in Kingston, we hit the mall to look for shoe stores that sell size 14. Here Evie discovered the joy of feeding her sister!!

Doey, her mom, and baby 'Mowwy' came to visit - Evie's trying to get Molly interested in her toy :) Ali loves this baby!

the girls :)

Evie loves our new chair, especially because she can climb up herself to sit in it :) She is so proud!

SO happy!
